OUR STORY
A Journey Through The Millennia
Classic Time Travel was founded on a simple but powerful idea: that the classical world is not merely history — it's a living, breathing story that still shapes our cities, laws, languages, and imaginations today. We believe re-discovering Pompeii's buried blue room, walking around the lands of Hadrian's Villa - many times the size of New York's Central Park, by the way - or uncovering classical antiquity's only surviving library connects us to something profound and enduring.
Our founder, Don Fenton, has spent many years studying, imagining and exploring archaeological sites across Europe and the Middle East. What began as a private passion evolved into a mission: to share these extraordinary places with those who have his curiosity and and sense of wonder.
From Scipio Africana's Italica near Seville in old Roman Spain (c. 200 BC) and Caesarea on the Mediterranean Sea before the Collosseum, was built, to Hadrian's Wall (122 AD) on the northern frontier of Britannica, Classic Time Travel shares with you the beauty and magic of the classical world.

Founder & Lead Guide
Don Fenton has spent a lifetime in pursuit of the ancient Roman world — as a traveler, photographer, researcher, and educator. His photographs of Roman sites across three continents have documented some of the most significant archaeological landscapes in existence.
Don's approach combines the rigour of a scholar with the warmth of a storyteller. Whether exploring the streets of Pompeii, the baths of Caracalla, or the remote outposts of Hadrian's Wall, he brings an infectious enthusiasm and a deep well of knowledge to every experience.
Classic Time Travel tutorials and talks are available privately and online, offering customized experiences from ancient Britannia to Judea.
